Hello! I am having trouble finding information about what emitter rate to use for drip irrigation on Mel's Mix. I am using tubing without holes and am punching holes and placing emitters near the stem of each plant. I read that sand soil should have a higher emitter rate than clay soil, but I'm not sure how Mel's Mix fits into this. Should I start with .5, 1, 2, or 4 gph emitters? Thanks!

You would want slow, steady drip so that the water soaks in and does not run off.  I use .5 GPH drip emitters, with longer run times so that the beds get deep watering rather than just surface water.
