Or is it just me? And it's only while on the Home Page (I think...)

I am seeing a block of ads between the scrolling banner and the posts or the Welcome screen on the home page. The ads that appear there are apparently for items that I have done a google search for in the past. I assumed this is how they pay for the "free" forums. TINSTAAFL, they say....

yes, I am seeing it now. Way back, the guy (can't remember his name - he was a moderator and was in the PNW) explained how to get rid on the ads but I can't remember and have a new computer so I am now getting the ads. And yes, they are related to previous searches you have made.

I ran the adblock app referenced earlier and it worked. No more ads on the home page. Here is the thread that has a link.

Same here. I didn't mind the ads here, but Google Chrome started bullying me with ads and wouldn't let me block the offenders, so I had to do something.yolos wrote:I ran the adblock app referenced earlier and it worked. No more ads on the home page. Here is the thread that has a link.

Here's a video showing how to install the Ublock-Origin ad-blocker. I've used Ublock for years successfully.

I am not seeing ads because of my ad blocker, but the ad blocker says that it has blocked 3 ads for this site.
