Re: ANCESTRY DNA
I cannot believe that the last post I wrote on this thread was 18 June. After a wonderful five weeks, then returning to Canada, I have spent the time catching up with everything and still have not touched the thirty foolscap pages I wrote while I was away in England that reminds me of who I met and what relationship they were to me. For five weeks I did not have to lift a finger to do anything, I was driven everywhere, fed sumptuously, put on ten pounds, and realised that in a million years I would not want to live like that all the time.
I did not master my Tablet, I took some photos, I have a photostick that I have not yet found how to open, and I am still waiting for my brother's daughter to sort out all the photos she took while while we all went back to our ancestral home where my brother and his family lived until he was a teenager.
But I am sure that once I get rolling, you will enjoy my story and all the new, and some previously known members of my family.
The travelling going and returning was exhausting, and the change in England was almost unrecognizable to me. The roads were crowded, and I would never dare now to drive a car.
In all I travelled on seven planes and I hated every one of them. But that was more than balanced by all the wonderful people I met.
It will be some time before I can really get down to writing about it all, but I assure you that it will be before the end of this year.
I am downsizing my house, week by week; I cannot believe the clutter that I have accumulated over the years. It is no wonder I was never able to use my second bedroom as a bedroom. I am so glad now that I will not be leaving much behind for people to sort out.
My long-term plan is to return to England to be with family, both maternal and now paternal sides. From not knowing even my own name until I was twelve years old, my circle is now complete.
