any one from northern mn or zone 3 bordering 4?
been looking around here and wondering if there is anyone from up here in northern mn, i know i border zone 3 and 4 so i can get by with the hardier zone 4 plants. but i'm fairly new to gardening and especially this zone. i'm used to sothern ohio where the growing season is fairly long. so any advice, suggestions, or even someone who just want to have another SFG with this crazy short growing season, i would love to talk, chat, msg (whatever works lol).
also anyone from other zones feel free as well.

Re: any one from northern mn or zone 3 bordering 4?
Hi Kat
I'm down in SE MN, zone 4 - but hey, it's MN right....could snow in June for all we know?!?!
I am completely new to gardening. Glad I chose SFG as the way to go, though. It looks nice, and is easy to manage.
I think the big thing here (and this is up to Mother Nature of course) is starting early! Even here in MN we can (by theory) get in 2 plantings of peas. If all goes well, I'll be planting my peas again in July.....got my fingers crossed.
I guess I'll be buying lots of nursery plants versus starting from seed, which is alright.
Hope your garden is going well.
