We're actually supposed to get up to 80 this afternoon. And with it a 20% chance for isolated severe thunderstorms.

Similar here, but only up to 61.  At least they've come off some of the rain at the end of the 10-day forecast. We need a break for that Fri-Sat for daughter's charity event.

Well, we certainly got slammed last night. Thankfully the closest lightening bolt did destroy our alarm system (unlike a few years ago).

We didn't lose power, but heard of lots of folks who did.

Today looks pretty!

No rain or thunder here.  Yesterday was beautiful and sunny with a high of 87*F.  This week the highs will be between 70 and 80*F with the lows over 50*F.  Getting close to time to plant out my main tomato crop.

Really cold temps, moderate winds, gusts to 50+mph, Coup shut up tight, two warming lamps a goin', Ladies are happy with the extra scratch.

We are enjoying the nicest weather in sometime. 50s at night and up to 80 during the day. A light breeze but expected to pick-up to the mid 20s tomorrow. My neighbor is a fly fishing guide, he is just loving it lately.

After two days of waking up to (just) above freezing temperatures, this morning's +14° F seems a bit chilly. But, no breeze, the sun is coming up, and it looks like a postcard sunrise.
It is starting out nice, in just a few minutes both the coffee and the wood stove are hot and making things very nice.

Here in South Wales UK we have had two absolutely stunning rather warm sunny spring days .

 It's started with a mild frost over night but by 08.30 hrs warm enough to walk outside for a few minutes in tee shirt & jeans . By 10.30 hrs  warm enough to have welcome iced drinks outside till 16.00 hrs  .
Max temp has been 18 oC

Today the temp here is 18 .5 oC ...it's been lovely ......Short sessions kneeling on a thick rubber pad & leaning over the raised beds from the lawn side of the beds where the wall is only 18 " high . The other side by the pathways is 36 inches high . I've been agitating the surfaces of each square foot & around all the still over wintering greens etc .with my fingers &  taking out the few emerging spring  weeds that have come up.

 I've also set / planted the final pack of  50 onion sets & 20 garlic cloves . I might even go and play again as tomorrow is forecast to only reach 15  oC.. It  could be worth  putting in a square of carrots of 16 early carrots if it has warmed up enough under the plastic cover I've used  .

Cold and raining all day. Should be better by tomorrow, then at least a week of perfect gardening weather.

Seedlings under the lights again until things calm down.

Watching my weather station for any indication that I may need to protect my cherry and apricot trees. 

The alarm is set for 30F and will wake me up at that temp.

Oh joy, forecasters are telling us 8"-12" of very wet heavy snow, higher elevations can expect more and for everyone to expect power outages. Great, fantastic, lovely.
I have plenty of firewood in. I will have a nice fire goin' and plenty of coffee and sodas. I think I'll stop off for some hamburger and hot dogs, with buns and all the trimmin's. Got a couple of good books, some magazines, all my phones, flashlights, and radios recharged. Got the BarBQ full of propane and out of the weather but usable.   

Bring it on.

21F here this morning.  We had a flurry sometime night before last. 

I did protect the fruit trees as best I could.

59 degrees and partly cloudy with a slight breeze with a high expected around 68.

Two days in the 80s were supposed to lead to severe weather, and the schools here even closed because of the tornado threats, and all we got last night was 3 minutes of moderate rain and 2 lightning flashes.

The one sure thing here is ultra high pollen and ultra high mold spore counts, but it is well-hidden with extreme smog, because half of California has moved here.  Achoo.

Snow - yuck.

At 6 PM, 29 degrees F, 5 inches of blowing wet, heavy snow.
The wood stove is so nice.

Cold and rainy here too....

Here it is almost 10:00 PM. The plow trucks are the only vehicles on the road. Thank you for keeping our roads cleared. 
     The snow is coming down, 8" so far. The wood stove is radiating that comforting warmth, the cat is sitting quietly in front of it enjoying the heat. The power is still on, the day has taken its toll, sleep will be mine. The snow blankets everything with its of calming and quieting white crystals.  
     I hope tomorrow, the beginning of April, it won't be to foolish to repeat the opposite of old, March came in like a lamb and out like a lion.

Wish this was an April Fools Day report. It has already rained a lot. It's a gloomy soggy mess out there.

17" of wet, heavy, blowing snow. 31°F. It is nice inside! The plow trucks are playing my favorite tune.
