Your Christmas wish list?
What's on YOUR wish list for Christmas this year?
I want books on (vermi)composting, homesteading, the Teaming with Nutrients/Microbes set....

Re: Your Christmas wish list?
I want a mini-food processor for herbs, egg shells, and kitchen waste for in-bed composting.
Re: Your Christmas wish list?
I'd like some nice clean, pure, organic, free of every nasty thing, aged manure.

Re: Your Christmas wish list?
Do tomatoes next summer count? And a good collection of leaves for composting! I'm easy to please. . .
Re: Your Christmas wish list?
I'll have to sneak a peek to see what is back there. A greenhouse is something on my Christmas wish list but it won't happen.sanderson wrote:Pretty! Is the box with your new green house hidden behind the curtain?

Re: Your Christmas wish list?
Now that I have gone composting crazy, another entry on my wish list is a Compost Thermometer and Compost Moisture Meter Set.
There is also this ...

Re: Your Christmas wish list?
Well, I already got myself a new pair of gardening gloves. I didn't used to be a fan, but the easier wash-up using intact gloves has swayed me. And the compost tumbler I want is something I'm saving up for (I'm over half way!), rather than a Christmas list item.
What I'd love is one of those wireless thermometers with multiple outdoor remote sensors, so I can measure/compare uncovered outdoors vs under various covers.

Re: Your Christmas wish list?
Me too. Anybody done any research as to the best one. I want one that is WiFi connected so I can read the diff temps inside the house. Also would like one that would be able to withstand rain without being under the hoop house. Must be at least two stations.BeetlesPerSqFt wrote:

Re: Your Christmas wish list?
If it's one that you want hooked into the Weather Underground network, it's over a thousand minimum.... I'd love one too...
Re: Your Christmas wish list?
I haven't done any actual research or even read the reviews, so I could easily be missing an obvious "well that ain't gonna fly" but I'd glanced at the Ambient Weather WS21 8-Channel which is compatible with remote 'F007TP' sensors with probes that I'd assumed could be used for soil temperature readings if I didn't just want the air temperature readings that the remote sensors included with the device would provide. (Apologies for that run-on sentence...) My garden is close-enough to the house that I don't think signal transmission limits would be a problem. And while it doesn't have automated data logging it's still close to a tenth of the price (with separately purchasing a few probes) of a $1k weather station.
