Hello From Indiana
The city of Terre Haute to be exact.
My wife gave me a copy of Mel's "All New Square Foot Gardening" for Christmas, and after reading it I want to give it a go.

We have a treasure trove easy to access archives (Search Box top left-hand corner of this page) so you won't have time for gardening. Just don't read them all at once but pick and choose as needed.

Re: Hello From Indiana
Thank you all for the very warm welcomes.
I am so looking forward to trying the SFG technique I am like a wee kid waiting on Santa.
I am already having fun getting prepared.
I have my seeds in hand just waiting to go. My box is at the ready just waiting for me to figure out where I want to set it up. I have plenty of good quality Canadian S. Peat. I have around four cubic feet of Vermiculite, and since I have always composted I have plenty of that too.
Thanks again.

Welcome, Milt, from Ohio! You will love the SFG method, and won't believe how productive your little squares will be,not to mention the weeding, and tilling, etc, that you will not be doing! And the chemicals that you won't need...
This forum has been so helpful for me and a ton of others here. I have grown very fond of this group! You will learn so much, not just from the folks here, but your own journey. Make sure you keep notes; what wors, and what doesn't, what you like, and what you don't!
And pictures....lots of pictures....LOL

Re: Hello From Indiana
Milt, Welcome to the Forum from California! Ditto to everything folks have already replied. Yes, we love photos, especially from new members as they develop their garden. One warning, SFG can be addictive! It seems I keep adding boxes each year.
Re: Hello From Indiana
Hey, Milt, Goose Girl & I are your Regional Hosts, so keep an eye out for monthly regional topic threads starting out with the label "North & Central Midwest"....I blew it this month and forgot the label, so our thread was called "Welcome 2016! January Plans and Schemes". As you know, we northerners get a little break in the winter, so we plan, and watch our 3 and 4 seasons gardeners from afar! LOL
