June Garden Pictures
Hello All,
Hope everyone's garden is growing well. Our is doing well but the dreaded Squash Vine Borer kill most of our plants. We were able to get one harvest of squash before the plants died and I had to pulled them from the bed. I just replaced them with more cucumbers. The main bed needs weeding bad and a thinning of the Eggplant leaves that are crowding the Bell Peppers.
Cucumber / Vine Bed
Tomato Bed with Bird Netting and Shade Cloth.
Tomato Cluster
Overcrowded Main Bed with Bell Pepper, Eggplant and Pole Beans.
Enjoy,
Ryan

Nice! Why is there netting across the MM in the beds? Critters?

NAR56, love your pics! Your beds look so sturdy. And the plants sure look healthy and happy.
Sorry about your squash problems. I get few or no squash because earwigs fill the flowers like a balloon and probably eat all the pollen ... anyway I don't think pollinators would want to step into that rat's nest of earwigs. But hey at least you got something.

CapeCoddess, The netting is for our two Dogs ( a boxer and a Lab / American Bulldog mix) . They love to roll and dig in fresh compost! Once the plants get bigger or the compost is not so fresh, the dogs don't bother the plants.CapeCoddess wrote:Nice! Why is there netting across the MM in the beds? Critters?

Re: June Garden Pictures
Greetings from a lil ways down da river Your gardens look great. It's been so rainy this week I havent been able to mow and the yard is looking jungley now. We are making bell peppers and butter nut squash now and with all the rain and standing water around when the sun comes out its a real steam bath out there. Sad when ya gotta wear ya Dulac cowboy boots to cut da grass. ( Local thing)

Dear Cappy
I tried to PM you but didn't get a reply. Where can I find the rest of the lemon rind recipe? They have been soaking in the vodka for four months now. I'm sure it's operator error. Others please forgive me for using this venue to get to Cappy.
