Hello! Just joined
Hi all! I'm very excited to join this community. I remember helping my dad garden as a kid-mostly picking beans! First garden as an adult, learning a lot, and amazed by how quickly everything grows!

I also remember "helping" my dad when I was a little kid. Such as planting a potato in a hole my dad dug for me and crediting myself with growing the potatoes for Sunday lunch. I was a was about four years old at the time but it left its impression on my later in life.
Are you a complete beginner? You have come to the right place to learn.

Kellerbee, Welcome to the Forum! You didn't mention if you are trying Square Foot Gardening as explained in the book, Al New Square Foot Gardening, 1st or 2nd Edition, by Mel Bartholomew.

Yes, I'm using Mel's SFG. I have a small 2 x 4 bed, which I started kind of late. Grew squash, cucumbers, tomatoes from seed indoors and transplanted end of June. Added a few carrots, lettuce, and onions.sanderson wrote:Kellerbee, Welcome to the Forum! I've had to put up fencing due to naughty bunnies and tried self pollinating due to lack of bees, but the good news is I picked my first beautiful zucchini yesterday!
