I just wanted to share some of my recent photos of tomatoes I raised from seed.  I planted my tomatoes on 2/21/2014.

This is what they looked like on 4/14/2014 (almost 5 inches high):

This is four of them photographed yesterday, 5/20/2014:

These four are about 20 inches high.  That's about 15 inches growth in five weeks.  I can't remember if that is normal... it seems like last year's tomatoes grew pretty fast too.  I have these in a half and half combination of my own homemade Mel's Mix and pre-bagged, store-bought Mel's Mix.  They are on their sides because I'm going to trench most of my tomatoes this year.  Last year, the trenching method served me well with my Black Krims.  I'll be putting these four in brand new Earth Boxes today.  I made a nice batch of the same type of Mel's Mix mixture yesterday, so they are ready to go!

Thanks Marie.  I'm very excited about this year's batch.  I've got nine varieties this year.  Hopefully we'll get something this year!

Thank you yolos.  I hope I get a tomato or two.  I did get those four in the ground... I'm afraid I still have seven left to go...  I hope to get them in their permanent homes before it gets too hot tomorrow.  The hard part is over (I got two 4x4's all ready with Mel's Mix today).  I just have to plant.
