Question: Does the SFG Web Page Use Cookies?
I find that, although I have my Firefox (27.0.1) browser set to open SFG in its own tab when I start it, I must log in after each reopening of Fx. I have the box for logging in each time checked. For other web pages this is usually caused when a site cookie gets deleted during regular daily CCleaner cleaning of browsing detritus. When I checked CCleaner to have it keep any cookies for SFG Forum, CCleaner did not show one for the site.
Has anyone else found a way to avoid having to log in each time their browser is restarted?
TIA

Re: Question: Does the SFG Web Page Use Cookies?
If you're referring to the forum, yes it does.
I stay logged in by not logging out. When I'm done here, I just leave. (ie. close tab or browser window) There is a 30 minute idle limit, so the software shows me as not logged in 30 minutes after I leave. Whenever I return, I'm automatically shown as logged in.
Once or twice a month, the forum is 're-set' by the host servers. That is the only time that I have to log in. I'm also using FF 27.0.1, but it works the same way in Chrome.

Re: Question: Does the SFG Web Page Use Cookies?
Thanks, Boffer!
I have had this problem on other forums. I have changed my Fx settings for cookies to see if that makes a difference to the behavior.
As for cookies, why do you suppose that CCleaner and Fx both fail to show a cookie for SFG Forum although I have the page open in the browser?
??
UPDATE:
I just closed Fx and reopened it and did NOT have to log in here.
(sound of hands clapping)
