Monthly Avatar Theme: March

Create a cartoon caricature of yourself by using a recently installed upgrade to the forum.

This is a beta feature.  Forumotion has teamed up with FaceYourManga to offer this extra forum feature in order to generate some ad revenue to keep the forum free.  Give it a try even if you don't use your creation.  You can return anytime to create a new one.

Select the word 'Profile' in the green navigation  bar at the top of any page.  Then select the tab 'Avatar'.  Then select the button "Create My Avatar!"  It's free and easy.  Upload with just one click.  Play around with it; you can't hurt anything!  

If you're a little more computer savvy, you can go to http://www.faceyourmanga.com/ to do the same thing;  it looks like they have a few more options.

And if you're new on the forum, explore some of the other tabs shown in your Profile.  This is where you personalize your forum experience.

There I are!  need to add a little gray hair though.

Whoops, mine failed to upload the first time and the second time I forgot the "age lines".   

Wow, there sure are some good looking gardeners on here!  We need a way to get some dirt on our faces.  

I don't think my ears are really that large.  Lots of fun.

Similar to everyone else I too had fun making my avatar.

How long does this take to do?  It looks very involved.

How come everyone else has hair, hats, eye color and stuff???  I didn't have those choices and now my head's cold.   

OH...OK...I got it.  I even wore a little makeup for you guys.  Not sure where it came from coz I don't think I own any...

CC, go back in to create your avatar and look beside the list of option buttons, where you chose your ears and facial features, to the right of those buttons are some pics...shape, hair, hanger, etc. click on those to get additional features.

I had a bit of fun with this.  I also found out that Park Seed carries Eureka cucumber seeds (clicked on the ad from the caricature website).

LOL!  That was funny!

(In case anyone is wondering how I could be sweating in front of snow-clad mountains, it's because I have to start my seeds & I'm behind already!)

I was for fooling around on the computer and then I went to the SFG forum to show my daughter this avatar generator.  She loves it of course.  She looked at the avatar of myself and said, "But dad... why the wrinkles around you eyes??"  I said, "Sweetie, look at me."  She peered closely, paused... and said, "Oh... "  Isn't nice how our loved ones see us without our flaws?

This is funny to me because every time my 5 y.o. come in she asks me why everyone has those weird pictures now. I think they're fun!
