Pumpkin seeds
Pumpkins - Below is a link to nutrition, important roasting temps, and storage of pumpkin seeds.
Most of the vines finally died. These are volunteers from the compost heap. Number 6 is a slow poke and still green with a live vine in the compost heap. Need to wash and cure these guys. The link I mentioned is below the picture.

Re: Pumpkin seeds
Nice harvest LM and those did really well in the compost pile. Thanks for the link, it gave me some thoughts beyond carving them up for my grandsons.

Re: Pumpkin seeds
Thanks! I really enjoy them, such cheerful things y'know?
The two biggest ones weighed in at 12-1/2 pounds each, one 9# and 2 @ 8 pounds. Total of 50 pounds plus the last green one still ripening in the compost pile. Looking forward to a mess of seeds to roast and save.

Re: Pumpkin seeds
That is a great haul of pumpkins and for August! Thank you for the link! I have pumpkins growing and I sure love pumpkin seeds. I haven't roasted any before but I did gather them, got busy with the kids and had to get rid of them! No little kids except grand kids so I should be able to get them roasted this year.
