Fall Planting Time?
Hey guys, I'm thinking that now is about time to plant fall crops such as lettuce, spinach, beets etc. Do you have any tips on when and how to plant?
thanks so much,
Weatherkid
p.s. I haven't been on here in a while, and looking at these pics and posts makes me want to come back

Re: Fall Planting Time?
Well, yesterday I planted my fall crops (I know a little overanxious)...lol...since the heatwave finally gave way to much less heat and humidity. I planted spinach, peas, bush beans, 3 kinds of lettuce, carrots, beets and radishes. This is my 1st yr fall planting so I hope I do ok.
Re: Fall Planting Time?
I've been gingerly planting seeds for fall already. End July I planted peas, turnips, broccoli, cabbage & kohlrabi. All sprouted but the cabbage. The broccoli has been eaten down to little nubbin's. I also put in more carrots, beets & radishes.
This weekend I planted a few types of lettuces & spinach, pak choi, scallions and more carrots & radishes.
It's probably too early for the greens here but the weather turned so much cooler and I couldn't take the empty squares anymore.
AND I just built a new box so I can do it all again NEXT WEEKEND!

Since you live in Frederick MD you can try Sun Nursery in Lisbon. I got mine from them last week. Check and see if they still have them in stock.
