For those of you who use milk jugs or soda bottles as greenhouse covers for your seeds/small plants, do you poke holes in them for ventilation?

Same with plastic row covers......should there be an opening at the ends?

Yes, you'll need some ventilation, especially on sunny days even if the temps are still cold. For bottles, just take off the cap during the day and replace it at night. For plastic covers, depending on how they are made, I either open the ends up if they are tunnels or lift or prop up one side if they are a box type. Just remember to close everything up again at night if temps will be in the 30's.

I use modified Soda/pop bottles as clotchs ive made a small notch in them so that the drip irrigation line fits under them and i just remove the cap for ventilation, i also made a few slits in the side o the bottle and weaved a small dowel between the slits to act as a stake so that they dont blow over as easily
