Ok, the pic is sideways, but you can still see it. That poor plant was just starting to produce in late March when we had a terrible hailstorm (all the houses in the neighborhood are getting new roof). This plant didn't have a single leaf left, but it put forth new growth and started over.

Looks pretty awful here at the base, but I picked 6 full size cucumbers from this one plant the other day. 2-3 every single day. Leaves don't look too great, either, I'm constantly trimming off dying ones. Just thought I would post this as it gives me a lot of hope to see how imperfect a plant can be and still produce heavily.

Plants naturally try to reproduce. That's why they continually send out new flowers and develop seed pods when mean ole people come along and pick their efforts. That poor plant is just trying to get a pod to the seed saving stage. Sometimes I think the best producing plant is the one struggling to reproduce itself.
