earliest time to cover plants w/ tulle??
Hi all,
All of my seeds that I have planted on May 30th have just now come up. Lettuce, cabbage, radishes, escarole etc. I found at Bed Bath and Beyond "Food Tents". They come in a set of 2 for $6.99, and spring open like an umbrella! When should I start to cover my plants for fear of cabbage moths, birds etc?? I don't want to loose anything if I can help it!!
Thanks, Lorie

If you see these cute little things buzzing around, don't be fooled. They are not your friend.

Re: earliest time to cover plants w/ tulle??
i cover my gardens the very minute they are planted and i keep the tulle on as long as possible. if things need pollinating, i do it by hand.
edited to add: if you have dollar tree stores near you, check for the food tents there. they have both the folding and the rigid ones at my local stores.
