Why yes... yes it is. I think I may have a slight obsession starting:
Is that another raised bed?! Garden10
It's a 4X8X8". So far those are 6 sweet potatoes in the far back right which I will build a trellis for next week. I've got a yellow squash transplanted into the front left 4 (given it the 4 sqaures of that corner) and I've put onions in the two squares behind the the squash's squares. I'll be planting more corn and once I get the high top box filled it will get carrots. Some marigolds and a sunflower or two and some snap peas (which will get a trellis as well). Will probably do more bush green beans eventually (trying to do one square every two weeks for thsoe... corn I'm doing one square a week- 3 in each square). I've got some peppers that have been going in and out of the house for a week or so, but they're just starting to get their first real leaves so they have awhile to go, but will hopefully get transplanted by the end of April.

My other smaller beds (plus the potato box and a zucchini... and of course the ever present helper corgi, Sydney. These two boxes have: Tomatoes, peppers, basil, watermelon, cantaloupe, corn, rosemary, broccoli (which I don't think is going to make it.. may try to get some transplants at the store next Monday if they have them), and bush green beans.

And finally the not so nice surprise visitor I found yesterday morning:

The visitor was a wolf spider.. hubby and I spent awhile with our insect and spiders book and then confirming on the internet. Happy I left him alone... they apparently tend to hunt bugs at night, don't spin webs. They will occasionally dig a hole in the ground, but normally they just live on the ground.

Oh man, I was looking in the wrong place! LOL So wolf spiders must stay. We need to ID a couple spiders we've found in the back yard also, but it was too windy to get a proper photo of them as they fluttered back & forth in the center of their webs.

It's really difficult to see it; great camouflage, actually! Perhaps that's why they call them "wolf". Very Happy

If you're looking at the photo... from the plant at the top if you go straight down and see where that leaf has been torn off/broken. Spidey's legs start about right there and his body is directly down from that. He really does blend in quite well. I would have never seen him, but my dog was sniffing in the bed and made him move while I was looking.

That is one COOL looking spider! Remember - in the garden, spiders are your FRIENDS! They EAT the things that eat our veggies!
