It would have to be at a Lowes or Home Depot (just started carrying them). They are the only ones selling it I believe. It is called Garden Time and has a pic of Mel on the bag.

thank you so much. I have searched web sites for Lowe's and Home Depot and they don't show Garden Time. However, I will go into the stores and ask.

Mels Mix in San Diego..
I am in Chula Vista.....and my Home Depot does not carry it in the store....
I have to go some distance to Lowe's and my store does not stock it with the other bag area......its by itself near the blocks and nursery price reductions......It is $12.95 a bag.....one bag fills 4 squares.....Ruth

I got this from the SFG website, not Lowes or HD. I could not find it either online.

They carry Mels new book also.....but not in the Nursery Dept....I have bought many there to give as gifts.....near the front entrance check out stations...
Home Depot carrys Ferry Morse seeds and I bought a lil small booklet for $5 written by Mel....publlished by Ferry Morse and in their seed dept inside.....now they have moved the seeds outside near the nursery checkout....and couldnt find any with the seeds...
Incidently a lil tip if you buy any plants at a nursery.....look over the whole trays......every so often....there is accidently 2 plants in one pot...and you get a free one.....they had Black Friday sale last week end and I got 4 extra plants that way at $1.74 sale price per pot....and that was Bonnies plants which normally cost $3.28 per plant...these were different kinds of peppers......
Even to Mels preaches less seeds used I think more people buy more packets of various kinds in his system.....Ruth.

Re:Mels Mix in San Diego/tabletopper
I use 2"x6" pine.....different size boxes.....bottom is plywood with holes drilled for drainage....my 4'x4' is 3 years old....the bottom seems to be holding up pretty good..this box sits on 4 metal collapable saw horses my husband had...so I used them.....last summer had trouble with the 16 legs when the ants decided they wanted to go up.....which one was the trail....grr grr....
I read Mels first book in 1991 and had my whole back yard in veggies and flowers....what a wonderful site with all the paths.....loved it...but I no longer can bend down....and when I discovered Mels 2nd book....started up again....and look forward to every day....to check up on things....
Anyhow....go to heading of Gallery....click.....chose users Personal Albums....and forum member ....click on Boffer...he has 12 pictures.....does welding....and has created a great table topper......he puts metal hardwear cloth and weed barrier on the bottom to hold the soil......I am sure thats the best....(dont really need the metal legs) but you get the idea on the bottom....cant find the exact "recipe" on how to do it ...at this minute...but I am sure the bottom system is a "keeper"....and Boffer is a very helpful guy...and I am sure he will give you the "recipe"
There's a lot of options to form legs....stacking concrete blocks for one....
Glad to know that you are in my area......we can plant and harvest all year long...lucky us......Ruth
