clover or hairy vetch seeds
I am looking for clover or hairy vetch seeds to plant in my raised bed garden to use as a cover crop to be tiiled under in the spring. The only place I have found so far only sells fifty pound bags. Does anybody know where I can find these seeds in smaller quantities?

I found a Stover White Clover at Home Depot, but I did not use it in my SFG; one pound for $5.67. I used it in a separate bed where I grow corn. I later let my chicken in to eat and scratch the area. Hope this helps.

I strongly recommend against planting a cover crop in your SFG. It is not something that your SFG will need. The purpose of a cover crop is basically to add tilth to the soil. With Mel's mix, there is already a practically perfect growing medium that really does not typically need additional amendments, except for adding compost after you harvest a crop and before you plant again. This means a lot less work and a great growing medium without cover crop.
Have you had a chance to read the All New Square Foot Garden book of 2006?

I assume you were looking online if you are looking locally Whole Foods has both the seed packets for cover crops and also in their bulk foods section I have bought soybeans, wheat, quinoa and amaranth and sprouted all of them out as well.

It may not be ideal for a SFG, but Bountiful Gardens has a lot to choose from.
I bought the compost crop mix (covers 100 square feet for $3.00). This mix includes Wheat, vetch, rye, and fava.

I'm planning on planting various "grain" type seeds in my future chicken/rabbit pens. I'm going to get my seed from http://sustainableseedco.com
