This hoop house is 10ft x 21ft
I used this link here >>>http://westsidegardener.com/howto/hoophouse.html <<< to get the ideas and supply list. We did a few things differently. We left out the rebar, instead just hammering the 1/2 pvc pipe in and putting the 3/4 pvc over it and attaching it to the 2x4 with clamps. I will put up pics of that as well, I just have to take one of the clamps. The pvc ribs are 10ft pieces on each side. We enclosed it using ideas from another site for the enclosing it, I cant find the site I used specifically because it was a couple of sites that gave me ideas. I googled hoop house doors I think.

We used pvc clamps made out of the same size pvc pipe I wanted to clamp onto. I used this fellows ideas for that http://therealgarden.com/2011/01/hoop-houses-the-real-garden-way/

I also used some of his ideas on how to make the hoop houses for my 4x8 beds. I have made those so there just a hack saw and string involved in those Smile

Your seeds will pop early in that structure. This is my 3rd year for SFGing too. I like how you set some goals.
I would like to get a compost system going and perhaps a worm bin too.

Spring is close. Enjoy Laughing

Thanks tons !! Very Happy

Is it a hoop house or a Quonset hut?

Very impressive.

Don't mushrooms need to grow in the dark? Crimini mushrooms are good for the heart. Hardier than white and more flavor, too.

Are you in Mississippi?

Thank you Very Happy
It is a hoop house, thats what the plans said when I was hunting for plans to make that one. 10ft by 21 ft, it has helped me tons to start seeds this year. Yes I am in Mississippi Smile

I dont think they dark, they grow all over the place on the ground here Smile Ive seen how they grow the white ones in the dark, but I've not done all the researching needed yet. I just know I need logs I cut and spores Smile I will probably get that started closer to spring planting Im not sure yet. Smile

I've been thinking about you!

I found two mushrooms growing in my planter window box (where I test seeds). They look fine while I was out 'herding' the worms this morning. This afternoon they look all dried up.

We had crazy rain yesterday and last night. Blustery winds today. Pretty cool too (hi 55). Can't imagine what caused them to be peaked so soon.

I'm not even sure why they grew. I certainly didn't plant anything for them. And I think the box was sterile materials. Spores must have blown in with the wind.

I think I read a while back that they have underground root systems and so a few on top is no indicator of how large an area they can be in.

Is that familiar to you? What did you find out about the 'shrooms you want to grow?
