Looking at the weather reports, it seems gardens will need to button up. I just hope the delay in winter doesn't mean a delay in spring.

First snow day of the year for me... Maybe I will organize the seed box that keeps migrating from room to room. Very Happy

As of yesterday we are pretty iced up as well. 2 months late better not mean Spring isn't until July!

Brrr. It's cold here this morning. 9* with a windchill of 0.
We hit 60 day before yesterday and will be back in the 50's over the weekend. Smile

It's arriving late here too. I swear I saw a guy in shorts out on Tuesday and kids were running around in the parks, then one day later: winter, ugh.

Just came in an hour or so ago from plowing our first snow of the year! Now, I sit and watch it blow sideways with single digit windchills. Hmmm, soup sounds good for lunch.

Last week it was in the 50's and upper 40's (62 degrees and sunny a short 1/2hour drive away in Walla Walla!) I was thinking we'd have an early spring... Fast forward tot this week, it's been cold, but today was ridiculous. 18 degrees today at 11am! Oh it's cold. The children at school still rip their coats off when they head out for recess... crazy kids.

Spring better not be late! Shocked It's about 25* here now and a light snow, we've gotten about an 1 1/2" of snow since 5:30 this morning. I work in the cold every day at work, so the cold is no biggie for me... I just want Spring now...this is the first time I've been super hyped for planting! flower

Yesterday & today I've been shovelling / forking 4 cubic metres of solid packed very well rotted horse manure into 4 trailer loads & carting it the 6 miles to our home.
It's been so warm that I've had my sweatshirt off and just worked in a tee shirt , jeans , socks & wellies etc.
Saying that the pile was steaming like wash day at a chinese laundry.

What's the betting that what you get on your side of the pond hits us this side in about 10 days time ?

I'll have to make sure all the manure is dug in the new lawn areas , laid in the raised beds or in the " Dalek " composters for its mighty hard shovelling snow off concrete when there is straw etc in it.
