Greetings from Southeast Alabama
I'm from and live in southeast Alabama. I have a family of four and have decided that it's time for healthier living and less dependence on the commercial system. I will be doing gardening for the first time this Spring. I'm really looking forward to getting started and have been reading and studying since getting interested in doing so back in October.

Welcome!
I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Hello JBK !
As you can see, we are a friendly bunch around here. Surf around the site and get familiar with how the various sub-forums work etc. Don't be shy to ask any questions
We are here to help as best we can. The SFG'ning book is our point of reference here on the forum.
Let me know If we, or I, can help you in any way and let me also extend a very warm welcome to you
Do keep us posted on your progress. Do you have a copy of the new SFG book?

Re: Greetings from Southeast Alabama
Thank you all for welcoming me!
Yes, I do have the book. I read it a couple of months ago and I'm currently reading it for the second time in an effort to get ready for the upcoming season. This past weekend, we made our first purchases for our soil.
