Hi,
My neighbor just taught me a new trick with her garden. She said "use peas as your cover crop, you might get to eat some as a bonus." I am going to try that next year, instead of red clover. This year our season has been so different that my peas I planted as an experiment in fall planting are still growing. Just in case you do not know; when you go to try turn under your cover crop, do not pull up the roots of you pea plants. Just cut them off at ground level. That leaves behind the nitrogen fixing root structures. Happy catalog looking.
