I have four packets of 18 Scarlet Runner Beans harvested from this years crop which was very successful.

I would love to share with anyone in Canada (as I don't know if I would be allowed to send them to the U.S.A.)

PM me your address and they will be on their way to you pronto.

Hi,

I have grown scarlet runner beans in the past, so I know they are available here. That does not mean that customs would like you to mail them. Having said that Scarlet Runner Beans were the first plant that I grew that were fussy about temperature. They do not like hot weather! I think they will not set beans above 80 or 85 degrees (you might want to double check that.) Meaning you will have lots of flowers and no beans until it gets colder, especially at night time. You want to pick the beans before they get too big or they are tough. Good Luck.

I have just checked at our local Post Office (I had three people helping me, lol) no one knew offhand until one brought out a 500-page set of regulations and we decided that runner bean seeds come under plants and are not allowed across the border to the U.S.A.

So, sorry, Newstart and any of you not in Canada. Still up for grabs in Canada. If not taken, then I will donate them to the local community garden. I still have more than enough for myself, but I reckon I should always keep an extra year's supply in case I lose the first year's.
