mels mix smells foul
I planted my seeds in vermiculite and I'm ready to transplant them into mels mix. I bought the mels mix in the bags that he makes called "Grow well" and has Mel's picture on the bags. I over watered (by accident) the mels mix and let it sit for few days and now it smells just like manure or something similiar. I'm wondering if the mix hasn't fully decomposed and if my new seedlings will be harmed if I transplant them into this mix? The mix does have a lot of big chunks of stuff that has obviously not decomposed.
Any body know for sure?
Thanks,

What does the bag say? Did you happen to call the manufacturer? I'm curious as well.

Howdy Shelly. That is curious. I have put this mix into my plants and have watered it a lot and have not had any issues. We have told the manufacturer to stuff it full of very rich compost, so you might have gotten some small bit that might not fully composted, but that will not affect the plants at all. They should grow beautifully. However, If you have any questions, we made sure that our manufacturer offers a full "satisfaction guarantee or your money back" to make sure we give you all peace of mind. If you have any questions, you can email gro-well directly at:
