The tomatoes are in Mel's Mix in pots, and the strawberries are also in Mel's Mix in an old wash tub surrounded by a three foot square.

What did you use to surround your strawberry bed?

And will you be planting anything outside the area taken up by the tub?

I built the frame with 1/2 PVC, which I painted red. Then attached plastic chicken "wire" using black pull ties.

I'm letting the strawberry runners spread to the area outside the tub.
