The October post is coming. The 1st snuck up on me and we have a busy day of stuff happening with the kids. Like this....

This is a shot of my family at Eckert's Farm....a local peach, pumpkin, and apple orchard. Today, we picked apples and our pumpkins. But, the special part of the shot is the St. Louis skyline in the background.

FYI, Illinois is the largest grower of pumpkins in the country, perhaps the world. To give you some sense of scale, Illinois farms supply some 65 million pumpkins to retailers around the country and world every year.

Oh, and, yes I know I married up.
