When are the SVB going to go away???

I am in STL MO, I think zone 6A, and we still have SVB flying around. I just found several spots where larvae got in and removed all I could find. I mounded up the dirt around the surgery part on the base area, and put some old pantyhose on a spot that is farther up the vine. We have been trying to inspect daily for eggs but obviously aren't finding them all. I know most people are against insecticides, but as I've said before I am not growing this stuff for the bugs to eat.
So now that I know that I have to be even more vigilant in the egg hunt, and have a better schedule for spraying, how long are these things going to be around? I thought they would be gone by late July. Any help appreciated as always!
