Garden Sprouting 5-26
Okay, I couldn't resist. We're beginning to sprout, and there really won't be much seed replanting - I only planted one seed for each position and most of them sprouted. I'll have to replace one here and there, but I'm pleasantly surprised.
Front row lettuce, 3 rear rows corn:
Front row lettuce, rear row pole beans:
My lone zucchini so far, in front:
Rear row, peas:
2 rear rows on left: pole beans/2 rear rows on right: peas
Planted but haven't sprouted: zucchini, squash, watermelon, cucumber. Still to be transplanted: peppers, eggplant if I can find plants, and I had 2 rows for broccoli but that's too late so have to decide what to put in those rows. I think that's it. Need one more tomato transplant, and I may have to replant my tomatoes with new ones anyway because these look a little iffy. I have sunflowers to plant along the house, and my husband wanted to plant giant pumpkins but he hasn't gotten around to that and I keep forgetting to remind him, may not happen this year.

Re: Garden Sprouting 5-26
OH! I can't believe it. Between the time it took me to take those photos, come inside, upload them and leave a few notes, then I went back out to check on some tomato leaf hole issues, and there was a chicken poop in an unplanted square. And I thought - huh. One must've gotten in this fence. And then I noticed several of my beans had the tops pecked off.
Curse you, you chickens! grrr!
I'll be watching like a hawk to see how that sneaky hen is getting in there...
