First time SFG in the mountains of Virginia
Things are going pretty good with my SFG so far. Some things like broccoli and asparagus are growing well, when I have failed with them before using more traditional gardening methods. The herbs are on the smaller side, and the swiss chard, spinach, and snap peas seem to be growing more slowly than I would have expected.
The overall garden (12'x24'):

Zooming in on the three sisters/lettuce/swiss chard/spinach/asparagus:
My yard has a ton of wild raspberries and blackberries surrounding it that are doing well:
Being in the mountains and close to a national park, we have a visitor who has been coming by a lot recently. In this picture, he was about 10 feet from the garden, but thankfully he decided to just run around it:

First off, jealous of wild raspberries, yum! Second, the bear, not so jealous of that kind of wild life :o) He is a cutie though.
Your garden looks really nice. Great job. I can't wait to see more throughout the season!!

I really like the design of your garden, each of the outer beds is narrow enough to reach everything from the inside.
Will the blackberries and raspberries entice the bear to visit often? Sorry, I am not fond of bears as neighbors. But, I really miss your area of the country.

I imagine they will entice him somewhat. He has destroyed three bird feeders this year, so I think we probably will have to stop putting those up.
