It's starting to feel like summer
Yes summer, with the burning and pests galore. There are aphids, mealy bugs, baby grasshoppers, a few caterpillers and some squash bugs, bean and flea beatles, it's getting to be summer alright. On the bright side I've got dragon flies, spiders, lady bugs, and wasps as well.

Dragonflies, check.
Wasps, check.
Spiders, check(I'm trying to stop myself taking down some cobwebs on a couple of tomato plants).
Grasshoppers, check.
Termites swarming, check.
Mosquitoes, check.
Bumble Bee(singular), check.
I just saved my garden from about 100 caterpillars I found on the underside of a few grape leaves. They're so easy to catch when they just hatch out and destroy a leaf or two. Drowning in the wheelbarrow was to good for them. This beasty is, in my opinion, the best reason to check the garden daily. I had trouble with them last year too.
Heat and humidity, check(if anyone wants to trade some sun for rain...offer does not apply to PNW people. There's nothing I can do for your weather )
I've only seen 1 lady bug so far. I'm hoping that's a good sign since they usually stick around if they have enough food. I didn't notice any aphids last year, but it's still early.

Ill trade you rain for sun! I'm putting plastic over my boxes to keep the rain
out for the next 3 days my plants are drowning. We had 3 days of non stop
rain last week and Mon - Wed were supposed to get more.
