If I may...
If I may indulge myself again with some cute photos of the kids. After all, they were "near" the SFG this afternoon playing in the sprinkler while I panicked over my spinach bolting before my eyes....
And, the neighbor's toddler enjoying her first SlipNSlide experience..
I know this isn't a photography forum, but there just isn't much to do in an SFG when all the squares are full, the budget is blown regarding expansion, and I don't have weeds or pests yet.

I LOVE IT!! They are all so cute!
I have been banned from Slip'N'Slides since I was 10. My sisters blame me for ripping a giant slice down ours with a zipper on my swimsuit. 20 years later we found photographic evidence that it was the neighbor girl with the zippered suit! But I still get blamed and I still don't get to play on them.

Very cute pics BBG. Were they playing after school or did they have the day off?

Ain't life grand. Thanks Mel. Gardens and time for the kids.

These are awesome, BBG! Makes me long for the days when my boys and the neighbor boy were running around with nerf guns and water balloons. Loved seeing them! You should be proud of all the wonderful things you are "growing".

Time do so something other than the garden is a great selling point for SFG.

First thing after school. They rushed home and said, "Dad, it's so hot outside, can we put on our swimsuits and play in the sprinkler?"
I said, "I'll see your sprinkler and raise you a SlipNSlide."
Of course, they were like....
Thanks, all, for allowing me to deviate a bit from SFG. I'm a little proud of the kids. As I type this, my daughter is just sitting on the couch, all ready for school, reading a book. I mean...what the heck is that? Reading? I didn't think kids did that these days.

Re: If I may...
What a wonderful thread! And what wonderful kids! Don't you just love it when you see them reading because they want to? I haven't gotten to the place where there's no work yet. I've actually been thinking - "This is supposed to be a less work method of gardening??? I guess if I bought all the ingredients it would be." I still love it though. Glad to see you're able to sit back and have fun with your family while watching your beautiful garden grow!

BBG, you are such a great photographer. I loved the pictures, especially the big smiles.
I've not gotten to the less work part yet either, but I'm getting there.
