more garden pics
just took a few more pics.
installed the garden gate the other day
so far ,this box has red and white onions, strawberries, radishes, beets, spinach, cantaloupe, crookneck squash, beans and cucumbers, marigolds and chamomile. I'll be adding tomatoes as soon as they're big enough to transplant
this box contains watermelon and pumpkin along the back, bush beans, peas, cucumber, strawberry, green onion, swiss chard, romaine/dill, romanesco zucchini and i'll be adding more pumpkin, kidney beans, and more peas soon.
here are my new potato bins, $9 each at lowes, i planted red and white seed potatoes
and finally my peach tree in full bloom, it's a florida king variety

Re: more garden pics
I went and took some update pics today just to see how the garden is progressing
top left to right
swiss chard (brightlights), zuchinni, blue lake bush bean, pumpkin (racer f1)
scallion, romaine & dill, empty, pumpkin
strawberry, pickle cuke, empty, sugar baby watermelon
slicing cuke & chamomile, cuke, snap pea, watermelon
top left to right
roma tomato (just sprouted), pole bean, crookneck squash, pickle cuke
canteloupe, beets, beets, strawberry
canteloupe, spinach, white onion, red onion
marigold (res for tomato), spinach, radish, parsley
all supersweet corn
bottom left, marigold ,there are some basil and oregano just sprouting in the center
and carrots and chives sprouting toward the top. I planted jalapeno, banana and bell peppers in the box but they havent sprouted yet. the outside rows on bottonm and right side are all reserved for tomato and i'll be adding eggplant
I also found this growing in my front yard, I have no idea what it is but it looks nice.

? about fence
Your fence is beautiful! Someday I would love one like this. Did you put chicken wire around the inside to keep the bunnies out?

tim- yeh it's an azalea, i passed a bunch in someones yard on the way home the other day and realized what it was. lol, i should have known, it's pretty common around here.

I love your fence! It looks so clean and neat. I bet it'll look different when all your plants are at full height

Beautiful and encouraging!
Thanks so much! But wait, what is a potato bin? Did I miss that in the book? I did my potatoes in double stacked sfg's, is that going to work?

LOL It better! I just planted half of my annual potatoes in TT sfg for the first time-30 squares.
If you google 'garbage can potatoes' you'll better understand the pic. It's just another way of maximizing square foot usage.
Re: more garden pics
Wish I had good pics to share. Grass is still THINKING about turning green here, and I half expect it to snow again.

Very classy fence. I'm green with envy.
