Record breaker
We have record rains for April in our county.
In April we had 12.53 inches for the month, setting a new record from the 9 1/2 inch total that fell in 1957.
Traditional gardeners can't even start to put out a garden, but my SFG is growing and looking good! All that rain hasn't hurt it at all.

Re: Record breaker
It's the Mel's Mix.
Here in the PNW the norm is damp, cool, rainy, foggy and other undesireable climate conditions. Even though my average last frost date is April 7, most people around here don't even start to till up their row gardens until late April or early May.
I could have started earlier than I did, but without better protection from the cool weather (like Hoop Houses and H3's) I don't think I really would have been farther along.
I am already looking forward to setting up better protection for next year's beds and Boffer's H3 (Heated Hoop House) looks like it will be part of this year's garden before long.

Re: Record breaker
how did you make the trellising system in the right foreground? I see the post, but what is coiled around it? I would love to make the trellis I use more decorative.

Re: Record breaker
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your trellises!! (trellisi??) I have a bunch, but they're just plain things, nowhere near the creativity or variety of yours. I guess I'm going to have fun with this SFG thing for the trellises alone.
