In Between Rain Empty In Between Rain

Post  CindiLou 4/23/2011, 9:50 pm

Snuck out in between the rain last night and more already started...

I got cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and sweet peppers in. Yup transplants ...I forgot mine outside when "harding off" and hardened them dead... In Between Rain 926169 first time in my life..oh well...

DH made me some cutworm bands like Acara's...AND I remembered to use them!

Now I have to put in another bed because I have no empty, unplanned spots! I set up a 4x6 bed and have peat moss for it..will get the rest next payday. It is for warm weather and herbs so no problem waiting. My frost date isn't till the 3rd.

Aub, I put them there for cutworm protection. These Acara had some like and I liked the looks and the fact I can reuse them. Of course after disinfecting them to be safe rofl...

Here is a good post about them:

We MAY get Wed and Thurs with no rain then back in the forecast for Friday...

I am so glad I am gardening in raised beds lol...My friends have not even been able to plant and when they did the seeds have gotten drowned.
