Please Help my Pattypan
I have a bush pattypan in a container and just the last two days some of the leaves wilt in the sun. I keep it well watered, I do the sticking my finger in the pot trick so I know it isn't that. They perk right up like nothing ever happened as soon as the shade reaches them in the afternoon so I don't think it is squash vine borer. Is this just a normal thing due to heat, sun and wind? Should I be worried?

It's a Southern thing and it's a container thing. You will lose over 1/2 gallon of water/day outdoors in direct sunlight, due to evaporation in the typical 10" pot, in temps about 80 degrees
Only way around it is to water more frequently or use self watering containers (here is one type of self watering container):
Their are also SFG self watering box-builds on the forum (just use search feature fo the term) & a couple of DIY "water-globe" threads on the forum that should help.

Thanks, I made a sort of self watering container for my cucs by cutting the bottom off a water bottle and inverting it in the center of the pot and planted the cucs around it and sure enough they do not wilt.
