Newbie Fence Question
Hello!
I have a beginner's question...
I would like to put up a cheap fence/shield around my SFG to keep rabbits out. How do you build one and still have your garden accessible by you?
For some reason I'm having a mental block with this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Andy

Re: Newbie Fence Question
Is your back yard fenced? I am having luck by blocking the whole back yard through a few strategically placed pieces of rabbit guard wire....

Re: Newbie Fence Question
I used stakes with plastic netting cut at about 2 feet. Rabbits in my neighborhood do not seem to jump very height. As time has gone by, I put up less on less fencing. My fence is around each box and tied with string or twist ties. Rabbit fencing also discourages small children as a visual barrier. Hope this helps

Re: Newbie Fence Question
I have a hoophouse that had plastic on it for early spring frosts. I took of the plastic and draped some bird netting over it and fastened it by zipties and anchor screws. It now comes on and off in one piece......and keeps everything out but the bugs. Cost: about $15-$20.

Re: Newbie Fence Question
I'm not sure the "hoophouse" would help me... I've got some vining veggies already planted, and I don't think it would work with them, once they got bigger.
Or am I missing something?
Thanks!
