I'm new - Ohio
I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio.
I'll be attempting to create a SFG this weekend.
I'll be visiting here daily with plenty of questions, I'm sure. But hope to have many answers in the future as well, and maybe make some friends too.

to the SFG Forum!! You did not mention if you had a chance to take a look at The All New Square Foot Gardening book. If you have not had a chance to read it, I would encourage you to get a hold of a copy. We would be happy to help you with any questions you may have.
Re: I'm new - Ohio
Hi Spanky! Welcome to the forum! I am a neighbor in Mason, OH and relatively new as well. If the rain lets up, I hope to get my boxes in this weekend also. There are a few of us Cincinnati-area folks around, so you definitely have some "company".
You'll find this community extremely helpful (and colorful!). If you are looking for regional-specific information, check out the North & Central Midwest, as well as a few Cincinnati-related threads that have popped up recently:
- Just Saw This Zoo Doo!
- Cincinnati Folks
- Calling All Cincinnati-Area SFG'ers!
- Greater Cincinnatians Mark Your Calendars
Good luck and let us know how we can help!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Spanky! Our Cincinnati community is really growing! I'm east of downtown - in Mariemont. This is my 2nd year and I have several boxes actively growing now. And a few waiting for the rain (and floods) to end. Feel free to ask anything - there is a wealth of knowledge and some very generous folks here.

Re: I'm new - Ohio
to the Forums. there are a lot of us from in and around the Cincinnati area. I live in Madeira.
This is a great place to come for information and advice on anything SFG. Like camprn said, get the book, it is a great resource to have on hand. Check the library, to get a hold of the copy....guess i need to buy my own and turn mine back into the library.
Definitely ask questions. There are a lot of great folks here with a wealth of knowledge.
One other thing that people love here are pictures, so if you have the time and know how please post them up so we can all see what you have done. It may also give others ideas of how to do things.
Again Welcome to the forums, I hope to see you around.

I can't say it any better myself......what a welcome!
Great to have you here....pics are worth 1000 words. We love to brag about our accomplishments, and we love to help people solve their questions.
Great advice to buy the book, or check it out from a library, as it's just full of wonderful information. Hope to see you around. I would introduce you to the Cincinnati Connection, but I see they are already out in full force. They are an awesome group of fanatical SFG'ers over there. Check that calendar; it's outstanding.
