Our new "blending" toy
Here's a picture (I hope) of my business partner Jerry & I making "Mel's Mix". Yesterday I was joking with him about needing a cement mixer and today . . . look what he showed up with!
Yesterday we bagged (18) 2 cf bags of mix and today we did 22 . . . in about half the time!

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Re: Our new "blending" toy
Oh well, guess I didn't understand the directions for posting a picture. LOL
Anyway, we got a 5 cf electric cement mixer.
It blends BEAUTIFULLY! First we make our blended compost - 1 bag each of LeafGRO, mushroom compost, humus & chicken manure and finally composted cow manure and put it in a pile. Then we use a bucket of vermiculite, a bucket of peat & a bucket of our blended compost and it makes a perfect 2 cf of mix.
We're able to just slip a bag underneath the mixer & dump it in.
If you have a large quantity of Mel's Mix to make, it's really worth it to rent one.

Kim, take that link and surround the whole thing with the "img" tags. It should look something like this...
{img} blah blah blah .jpeg {/img}
only instead of the squiggle brackets, use the real ones.... [kdkd] and [/kdkdk]

That didn't work. All it gave me was a small blue rectangle with a ? inside of it.
LOL guess y'all will have to use your imaginations.
Does it make a difference that I'm using a MAC?

LOL too impatient to figure it out right now.
This isn't the exact model, but here's a similar one from amazon.
