Hello new to the group and in planning my sfq I can't seem to find a correct spacing on celeriac. Has anyone planted any? Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome Debra

We are really glad you joined us. Please feel free to ask questions and be sure you keep us updated on your progress.

As far as spacing for your celeriac, just look on the seed package for the "thin to" spacing. I checked several places and the spacing is anywhere from 6 inches apart to 12 inches apart. So use your seed packet to determine what is best for your variety.

If the spacing is 6 inches, go for 4 in a square.

If the spacing is 8 or 9 inches try bisecting your space diagonally and plant two in a square (this spacing is not in Mel's book, so this is a FB opinion, not supported by SFG)

If the spacing is 12 inches apart, do just 1 plant per square.

celeriac spacing 396615 to the forum and SFG. We love to help as you can already see. We also love pictures so share when you can, and please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.

Another good resource is the regional forums, you can read up on what others in your area are doing, but you don't have to hang out in just your region.
