Hey Y'all Smile

This'll be my first year trying SFG and I'm pretty excited. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and trading advice and whatnot. Happy gardening!

Greetings from OKC 654548 Kris Greetings from OKC 654548

Nice to "meet" ya'

It does take some time to set up your first SFG, building your bed, locating ingredients and mixing your Mel's Mix, but after the initial bit, planting, nurturing, and harvesting are pretty easy and a lot of fun.

The excitement is understandable, we all love the experience.

Please keep us posted on your progress and post pictures when you can and best of luck with your first SFG. .

I just wanted to jump in quickly and say Hi. You will find the people here are super eager to help and no question will go unanswered for too long. This is a great place to learn more or provide your experience. Glad you found us.

And, if it hasn't been mentioned....a picture is worth 1000 words. We love seeing others' gardens.

Thanks, you guys Smile

I've been hard at it. I've set up about 84 square feet and am planting it a few squares at a time, so everything doesn't get ripe at the same time. I'll post pictures soon. Also, I've started a blog at www.hoglogfrog.blogspot.com, though I've only got my introductory post so far Rolling Eyes

So, I've planted spinach, carrots, radishes, several kinds of lettuce, chard, peas and green beans (and dragon's tongue, which is a type of or similar to green beans). I searched high and low, and finally found some legume inoculant, and as a result the peas and green beans are the largest plants so far. I hope your gardens are doing well!
