Does anyone had a certain corn to grow? I 've been looking at seed catalogs and I am going batty. Iam adding a new box either 2x4 or 3x4 for the corn.

I did Peaches & Cream last year and it was a huge success. See my blog for pictures. This year I won't plant it in a solid 4 x 4 square because the center plants didn't get quite enough sun. I'll probably do 2 x 4 sections at the end of boxes, or in a separate section altogether. It can certainly be confusing looking for varieties because the all sound so good. I just had a thought - I might try some new varieties this year, planting about 2-3 weeks apart. that way they shouldn't cross-pollinate. But I know for a fact that I'll be growing Peaches & cream - it was really good.

I am so pitiful - I decided to call Lowe's & see how long the BOGO seeds were on sale. The recording said press Zero for an operator & I kept hitting the zero but got nowhere. Then I noticed I was hitting the 0 on my large calculator. I think I'll go back to bed now.

BTW - sale ends today.

Poor baby, you need to get back in bed and stay there. Can Hubby bring you chicken soup?

dixie,
I read that corn can cross-pollinate if grown within hundreds of feet of one another so don't try to save the seed if you plant 2 varieties.
