Broccoli Seedlings are Leggy!
I posted about planting my seeds here.
So I planted them...they germinated and I moved them to my front porch where there are south facing windows. All is happy...THEN I go out there this morning and they are falling over. It was cold last night and I forgot to put the green house on it to keep it warmer. I watered them and they perked up.
I think they are leggy. More light? Heating pad to help the roots grow? What to do?

Re: Broccoli Seedlings are Leggy!
Do you have any room in your starter tray to fill in with any more starting medium to prop them a bit? or I just found this bit of advice. http://www.ehow.com/how_4908012_save-leggy-broccoli-seedlings.html
Re: Broccoli Seedlings are Leggy!
This is what I did...I followed the direction in the ehow article that camprn shared (thank you!). I used newspaper pots that was discussed here. I reflected more light using foil recommend by plb. I grabbed my hubby's shop light and hung it over my babies. I left the rest of my plants in the original containers just to see if transplanting really helps.
Re: Broccoli Seedlings are Leggy!
do share your results! i'm having some similar looking plants - i had planted a bunch of different things in my 72 cell and broccoli sprouted faster than some. ..
tomorrow i'll buy some peat moss and mix it wiht some extra vermiculite to make a soil less mix. . .i figure that'll work til they're in the ground in a month or so?
