Hello from Northeast SD!
Hello from (normally) frigid zone 4! We are in a thaw right now, but more ice and snow coming for the weekend. While waiting out the snow I have just finished All New SFG and can't wait to get started! I have rounded up the boards and lath (cheap and free) for my boxes, and have already built 3 of my vertical supports, even though I cannot start putting anything outside - even cool crops - for at least 2 months. My hubby is thoroughly depressed about my gardening enthusiasm (he is not the outdoor type), but I am hoping the simplicity and organization of this system will change his mind, since he IS the ORGANIZED type! I have never been so planned and orderly about my garden, and I just can't get over how easy it has been to set things up and organize. Come on May!

Re: Hello from Northeast SD!
Goosegirl,
This certainly is a frigid time for you guys, but it is also the time to plan your garden and get your materials together. Looks like you are doing a great job of that.
Please look around the forum. An easy way is to click on the Forum Button above, and check out the various sections. If you have questions, the answers may be out there. Of course, you are welcome to ask questions here. We have lots of members that would be glad to help you.
Have you decided on a plan for planting your SFG? Under Forum, Showcase of Gardens, there is a section called Garden Plans, where others have discussed their plans and asked for suggestions. Very Helpful.
Let us know how you are progressing, and we pictures.
Again, Welcome!
