Just checking in!
I've just joined the SFG group today -- from Fort Erie, ON -- 6a. I'm counting down the days to March -- that's the last crummy month and will give me hope! Then, off we go!
It'll be great to hear how other Canadians are faring with SFG; I can't believe that it's taken me so long to get to SFG! I've ordered the DVDs so that I can watch some of the excerpts of the TV show which I seemed to have missed altogether! Oh well, timing is everything, isn't it?!

Re: Just checking in!
Yay! Another Canadian!
Seems to be the day for Canadians to sign up on the forum.
I'm up just north of Toronto in zone 5a. I'm looking forward to reading what's happening in the gardens of our zone 6a members.
If you have any questions specific to our area, this is the place to post them.

Ok.. now I'm embarrased.
I just realized that you are the same person that posted the "Looking forward to SFG!" post.
I need some wine!

My fault entirely, Blackrose! I was just trying to check in at Canada and probably could have copied or something.
But, hey, did you enjoy the wine?!

Re: Just checking in!
Welcome to the Canadian SFG'ers. It is wonderful to have you with us.
Hello from the other side of the country. I am in Prince George, BC. My gardening zone is a 3b so we can expect to have snow here at least until the end of March and my last frost free day is roughly June 12.
SFG is just the best way to garden. This forum is marvelous. So many knowledgabel and helpful people on here. It is a fun place to hang out. SO....if you need anything at all....don't be afraid to ask.
And Blackrose......I hope you drank some wine for me. After all......."a little wine is good for the stomach."
Gwynn
I think we need a little wine drinkin' smiley face to toast newcomers.

Re: Just checking in!
Zone 4b for me in Petawawa Ontario to the east of Algonquin Park, a couple hours north of Ottawa.
Frostfree time here is usually the beginning of June.
Starting to think about starting peppers and tomatoes from seed soon. Not sure if I'll try broccoli at all this year -- two years a complete bust -- lots of leaves but microscopic broccoli heads.
