Habitat for Humanity - ReStores
If you're looking for a place with inexpensive building materials you might use for your SFG, try a Habitat for Humanity ReStore. These are usually donated items that they sell for CHEAP.
Particularly I was thinking that one could find lumber and windows to make things like raised beds and cold frames.
Just Google "Habitat ReStore ________" and put your state name in the blank.
I'm heading to a local one this week . . . wish me luck!

On "This New House" I saw where a couple went to the HFH ReStore and bought a bunch of windows and made a greenhouse out of them. The best part is they were able to open almost all of the windows to create ventilation as needed.
