A Pleasant Opportunity
I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to get to Acton, MA. I remembered that Martha, of our forum, had a restaurant there called Sprigs. We took a chance and went there for dinner.
Let me say that the food was FABULOUS. Perfect even. From the bread and tapanade to the peach and champagne sorbet and the duck, filet mignon and decadent dark chocolate with vanilla ice cream and raspberries. Even the asparagus was exactly right.
It was a Friday night and busy so I did not know if I would get to actually meet Martha but we lucked out. She was able to take a minute and come out to meet us. She is as genuine in person as she is in her posts. A real treat for me. I also got to peek at the garden - dormant for the winter but fun nonetheless.
And oddly I chose the name Chopper with the idea to remain completely anonymous and now I have met 3 people from the forum. LOL.
Thank you Martha!

ARGH! I wish I had known you were coming back east. Acton is a little more than an hour from me. Maybe next time I will see you. ( I really should go and visit Martha and experience some of the delightful foods she has on her menu!) I am happy you had a good trip! Welcome home!Chopper wrote:I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to get to Acton, MA. I remembered that Martha, of our forum, had a restaurant there called Sprigs. Wow.
Wow. That is fantastic, Chopper and Martha.
I wish we had a "green with (happy) envy" emoticon.
