Hi from Ohio!!
Hello all! My name is Veronica. I live in a small town in northeastern Ohio. I'm 23 years old, just got married in October, and just got the book today! My husband and I have been talking about self sustainability for about a year now, I have several books about it. We're very slowly adopting ways to be more sufficient, and I'm so glad I found this book! Right now we live in a small apartment with very little yard space, but I'm going to try maybe a 2 by 2 ft plot of SFG next spring. My dream is to get a house in a couple years and have 5 to 10 4 by 4 ft plots, but that'll take awhile to happen! As for right now, I'm just snooping around the forum, learning as much as I can so by spring I'm ready to try my hand at SFG.
I hope to get to know you all well!
Veronica

So glad you could join us. This is a great group of people who help one another. Hope your first SFG is a success. Remember, you do not have to make it a true square, if 2 X 4 fits better in your small yard, try it. Having a couple of extra squares is fun and gives you a chance to try more varieties.

Welcome
Hey Veronica,
That is awesome that you are starting in the spring. I am actually trying to get a SFG club here on campus where I go to school. It will be marketed as the environmental club/gardening club, but I really hope to use the SFG method. I also am absorbing a ton of information from this website and am enjoying every minute of it. I think it really helps to have the book at hand (I purchased mine about a year and a half ago), but I believe that experience and support also keep me encouraged and excited about this topic.
Let me know how your garden is coming along
Best wishes,
Christine
