I have Downy Mildew
I took a couple leaves from my cukes to the local farmers market where there was a master gardener. Although she wasnt knowledgeable in veggies and such, she took the leaves and said she would get back with me after so research...
She talked to some buddies and they came to the consensus that they have downy mildew...
now what????

Re: I have Downy Mildew
If you want to fight it there are remedies out there. Commercially just check the labels to see what it controls. On the cheap and homemade there is always baking soda and water. I did read that it has to be mixed with oil or soap to be effective - 1/4 oz per gallon of BS. And then there is Neem oil and some say fish emulsion helps. Lots of info out there on the net of course.
For the BS I believe they said to spray every 3-4 days and spray underneath leaves also.

Yup chop, but Ive been reading and that isnt as effective on downy, if at all! and it is for prevention not treatmen? IDK...
Re: I have Downy Mildew
Then buck up and buy one of the stronger commercial remedies! LOL! Can be expensive. Otherwise you might want to pull them out if there is anything else around it that is susceptible.
Re: I have Downy Mildew
Haahaa, I wouldnt mind that. I cant find ANYTHING in stores right now. I'll have to look online. Like we talked about, I'll probably just yank em
